Kudos to my old friend James Grady on the 40th anniversary of his blockbuster novel and inspiration for the Robert Redford film, Three Days of the Condor. In commemoration of the event, Amazon is offering a special deal today: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0064T4ZPC/ref=tsm_1_fb_lk.
I remember chatting on the phone with Jim shortly after the movie deal came down. He had just been out driving his new Porsche and told me how Dino de Laurentiis, the film’s director, had flown him to the set in Hollywood. Since then, Grady has published several novels, short stories, and a novella, as well as continuing a journalism career he began in Washington, D.C.
Surprisingly, his talents are better known in Europe, where he is a mega star. If you haven’t discovered his work, check out “Six Days of the Condor” or more details about his accomplishments at http://www.jamesgrady.net/.
